The Odisha government has decided to rebuild the state’s largest bus stand Baramunda bus stand and develop it as an inter-State bus terminal.
After the chairing of a high-level review meeting in the state secretariat, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said that the Barmunda bus stand will be renovated at the cost of Rs 180 crore.
By the end of June this work on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode is going to begin and will be completed within 15 months.
Although the project is not yet limited to finalize the partner, the land has been confined to Khandagiri area for Bus Street, where buses will be parked till completion of work in Baramunda bus stand.
